Given the epidemiological situation in the country, we wish to inform you that as of 13 March 2020 until further notice the manner of work provision at the Jagiellonian University’s Disability Support Service is changing.
Taking into account the epidemiological situation in Poland, acting on the basis of the Ordinance no 24 of the Jagiellonian University’s Rector of 10 March 2020 on counteracting the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the academic community of the Jagiellonian University and led by a sense of social responsibility, we wish to inform you that as of 13 March 2020 until further notice the manner of work provision at the Jagiellonian University’s Disability Support Service is changing.
We wish to kindly inform you that pursuant to Communication no 27 of the JU Vice-Rector for Education of 5 October 2020 concerning the security policy as regards counteracting the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, the standard form of contact with the educational advisers will be remote communication - by electronic mail from the domain student.uj.edu.pl, by telephone or using the MS Teams application (available in the free Office 365 suite).
Meetings in person at the DSS office will take place in justified cases, after making an appointment with the adviser and adhering to the sanitary regime (wearing a protective facemask and hand disinfection).
Staff members of the JU DSS can be contacted remotely by electronic mail, telephone or by means of chats and video links using the Teams application (available in free Office365). More info available on the homepage.
Note: All situations described in the procedure below, related to a JU student/employee and of a non-standard nature, should be reported by email or phone. On the basis of such information, the JU DSS team will monitor the situation, look for ways to resolve issues as they appear, provide support as much as possible as well as notify JU authorities in that regard.
Student-related matters are handled on an ongoing basis and contacts and consultations with educational advisers by means of a video link in the free Teams application (find the user tutorial below) and by email.
Requests for educational process adaptation and medical documentation confirming the connection between the student’s health and the adaptations requested can be emailed to an individual adviser. The advisers process all documents remotely while requests are opined and emailed directly to relevant University deans.
