The "To Touch Culture" event is a unique meeting inspired by art bringing people together regardless of their disability or lack of it, age, origin or worldview. The project attracts Krakow's academic community, art lovers open to the needs of persons with disabilities as well as fans of original objects and atmospheric music. The main objective of the event is to make monuments, historical interiors and precious exhibits accessible to persons with various disabilities. The crowning points on the agenda are a presentation of adaptations made for blind persons and an evening live concert by artists - musicians. Each edition of the "To Touch Culture" event offers the visitors attractive adaptations unique in their form and executed by means of various techniques such as linocut, relief or 3-D mock-up. Visit www.DotknijKultury.pl for descriptions of all the adaptations made thus far and other valuable materials concerning the "To Touch Culture" event cycle, including great video footage showcasing its successive editions and the contents of a guidebook for blind and partially sighted guests featuring visualisations of the tactile graphics.
