The guide titled "Adapting scientific publications to the needs of persons with sight disability" has been written for academic teachers so that they could prepare materials for their courses in an accessible manner for all their students and taking into consideration the needs of those with sight disability.
It features guidelines on what to do to ensure that texts, presentations, graphics, maps, charts and diagrams as well as films are fully understandable to blind and partially sighted students.
The brochure is also training material for assistants collaborating with the JU DSS who make scans and adaptations of teaching and learning materials for persons with sight disability.
The publication is a result of cooperation with the Jagiellonian Library as part of the project called A Repository of Open Access to Scientific and Teaching/Learning Resources Developed at the JU.
